Summer Time

We just finished VBS at church and now the kids are excited for vacation in a week. I have been trying to keep them busy this summer. Greg is still working on scraping the house and so we like to stay away from the house as much as possible. Brendon, Caleb and Grandma Neir went out and pulled the weeds where the corn is planted. They enjoy helping out with that or most anything. Grandpa was going to mow so they decided to help out with the riding mower. The only problem is they forgot to ask grandpa if it was ok...They took a bit of a wild ride with only Trevin falling off once. Meryn is content to sit back and watch while she drank all Brendons slush. She loves to keep on the move and is always getting into something!

Memorial Weekend

The kids and I had a busy time in Kansas City over Memorial Day weekend. Greg stayed home to scrape the paint off the house (he thought he could get more done without five extra distractions). We left for KC Thursday afternoon and stayed until Monday. We managed to stay at almost all the cousins houses, which the boys loved! We all got together Friday night and the kids had a great time. I got a few pictures of the kids playing. The one of Trevin was the most modest of the ones I took. He is so cute when he has to "go" he has to "go" no matter how big the tree to stand behind is.

The Boys Working

Greg is doing a whole bunch of work on the house and the kids love to help him out. This project was tearing off part of the roof and replacing it and then shingling it. They couldn't wait to get up there and help him out. Trevin helped too but happened to miss out on the picture. They are great helpers and Greg is very patient with them. They did a great job.
