Camp Gramma

The boys have been at my parents for camp gramma having a great time. Last year Caleb had a very high fever and strep throat, so he is having a much better week this year. They visited the zoo, firestation, and had a picnic. Then they did some swimming and zipline this afternoon and watched a movie tonight. Tomorrow should be pony rides and a waterpark. They are having a blast.

Camping at Cheney Lake

Greg and the kids went to the lake Tuesday and Wednesday. I worked those nights so I didn't get to go spend time with them in the heat. It was over 100 degrees both days so it was nice they had the air conditioned camper. June and her kids are here this weekend, so we have been over at my parents spending time. The kids love it when the cousins are in town. June and I took took our 9 kids for a walk this afternoon to get slushies. They asked us if we had a day care, that gave us both a good laugh.

My parents started "Camp Gramma" two years ago and that starts on Monday. All the potty trained grandkids get to come to it. My sisters and I try to keep the house organized and take care of the meals. And of course the non potty trained kids. This year the theme is Building Character. So tomorrow 18 of the 20 grandkids will be here. Now that will be a daycare.

Summer Days

The kids love to spend time at Grandpa & Grandmas house, they have a a much bigger choice of things to do(so I'm told:)). They have the pool, zipline, playhouse, and two different swing sets to play on. And a ton of toys to play with. Trevin has been into building with lincoln logs. So caleb helped him build this house. Meryn loves the zip line and seems to have no fear, so we are always there to catch her. Also the boys are growing watermelon to sell so they love to keep an eye on those in the garden.

Brendon & caleb's Birthday

Well this is a little late but I wanted to add it anyway. June 24th the twins turned 9 years old. It is so hard to believe how fast time has flown by! I remember holding them both in one arm and now I can hardly pick them up one at a time. I have one daily reminder of the last 9 years...MY BELLY :). We started the boys birthday out early in the morning in South Padre Island. We woke up with no electricity in our hotel. We had packed most of our things up to leave and drive to Dallas that day but still had stuff to get together. So we took showers in the dark and then started trying to get things together. Then the guys got to carry all the luggage down the stairs...Fun, fun, fun.
Well we got on the road just a little later than planned and headed to Dallas. The Boys got to spend the majority of their birthday watching movies and taking bathroom breaks. We got to Dallas around 7pm and went to Chilis where they got sang to and had ice cream sundays. Then back to our hotel for a swim.
When we got home we had a party for them with Grandpa and Grandma Neir. We went to Applebees and came home for cake, ice cream and presents.

Mexico

Some pics of our visit to Mexico...

South Padre Island

We had an awesome vacation to South Padre Island. We left and drove through the night in lots of rain. We had four TV screens so that helped the seven kids have something to do while they were awake. We got there Sunday and just hung out and went to check out the beach. The kids were all excited to get to the beach and went right in in there clothes, so we had a wet sandy mess from the start. We went to a water park, parasailing, dolphin watching, Mexico, surfing, visited Berta & Don and then lots and lots of swimming. We went with Elisa, Johnny and there kids, so that made it a lot of fun. We had such a good time and can't wait to take another vacation.
