Kansas Kids Day

Today was Kansas Kids Day for all the 3rd graders in Hutchinson. There were over 700 of them and probably 200 adults running around having the kids compete in various events. It was pretty neat with 50-60 different stations for the kids to do. Everyone had a blast and it was very well organized. The Junior and Senior leaders from Hutchinson high ran the events with the exception of one put on by the cops and fire fighters. It was great and all the kids seemed to have a blast.

We got together with some friends and Brendon tried to scare us with the wardrobe he found.

Meryn and Chloee Wiggins

We are enjoying the nice weather...

Today was so beautiful outside. Meryn and I walked for a mile before the boys got out of school. I wanted to push Meryn in the stroller but she knows her brothers get to take turns jogging with me so she informed me it was her turn. She did awesome, I walked a pretty fast pace and she ran the entire way. About a block from home she said her legs hurt bad. I am sure she will feel it tomorrow:) We got home just in time for all of us to go for a 10 mile bike ride. Needless to say Meryn fell asleep on the ride.

Kids Measurments

Today we decided that an easy way to track the kids growth would be to use our blog. It's hard to believe how big they have all gotten, and we're afraid of what our grocery bill will be as they become teenagers. Brendon 9 years

Easter Egg Hunt

This was a cold Easter so we had the egg hunt in the house. Caleb wanted to hide the eggs so Ella, Meryn, Brendon and Trevin had a good time finding them all and then eating lots of the candy.

Meryn's Ouchy

Once again Meryn has managed to get hurt. She was walking around with a piece of Hotwheels track in her mouth and Trevin accidentally backed into her, shoving it back and cutting the back of her throat. We didn't realize how bad it was until we looked into her mouth with a flashlight. It looks pretty nasty, but it seems to be OK and we're sure it will heal just fine. It's rough being a kid!
