Trevin gets braces...

and he loves them! He actually was excited about this. He gets to pick the colors so of course he picked a KU themed mouth. We will see if those are the colors he sticks with for the duration of this. They took lots of pictures of his mouth & told me they would be doing that a lot because his is an extreme case. It is amazing how much of a difference you can see already in his bite. They built up two of his teeth so that he would not have the cross bite and he has to bite straight. We'll post more pics as we go along.

WOW! They let you have color themed braces. That is awesome. Micah is going to be so jealous. He will have them soon enough.

Why did they let him get them so early? They still won't let Maggie until she loses all her teeth.

They waited for a year originally. Then after that he told us he would recommend starting because of a couple details. He said we didn't have to but said it would be an advantage if we did. This is just phase one. He only has 6 braces on top and then they are working on his cross bite. And he will get something like a wire retainer on the bottom in the next few months. The other plus to this is getting going on payments now before the twins need them...at least they tell me Caleb for sure. Anyway, I am starting to see the need for paper routes:)

I guess we had one opinion to start Maggie with just the top and pull them into place first. Probably the same thing. Our insurance didn't cover that doctor at all so we got a second opinion and he said to wait another year at least.

We are going to go broke because I think all our kids will need them.

Maggie has a crossbite, too.

It will be fun for you to see your teeth straight, Trevin. Paper routes worked pretty good for getting your braces paid for. It was a pain.

Looks good Trevin! I'm gonna show Trey you picture when he comes home from school today. Yea i can see where you might as well get started on payments so you don't have 3 at a time. Nothing has been mentioned to us yet about Trey but i'm holding my breath because i'm sure it will eventually. Hey maybe your boys can get your old paper route :) get it back in the family!
